Position Description
Our client is seeking a Senior AML & Risk Analyst to support its AML/CTF compliance program and broader regulatory risk framework. The role is full time, is remote and is only available to applicants in Canada.
This is a hands-on senior role requiring strong AML/CTF expertise, sound judgment, and the ability to independently manage complex compliance matters with limited supervision. The role will be primarily focused on AML/CTF, while also supporting the Client's obligations under the Retail Payment Activities Act (RPAA) and broader operational risk framework.
The successful candidate will work closely with the Head of Compliance, taking ownership of significant day-to-day compliance activities while supporting regulatory, risk, and governance matters. The role is expected to develop over time with increasing responsibility for oversight, decision-making, stakeholder engagement, and continuity of the Compliance function.
Strong AML/CTF experience is essential. Prior RPAA or operational risk experience is an asset but is not required, provided the candidate demonstrates the ability to learn and take on broader regulatory risk responsibilities as the role evolves.

Provide quality assurance across AML operational activities , including onboarding, transaction monitoring, regulatory reporting, periodic reviews, and case management.
Monitor changes to FINTRAC requirements and other applicable AML/CTF obligations and support implementation of required changes.
RPAA & Regulatory Risk
Support the Head of Compliance in maintaining the RPAA and operational risk framework.
Maintain the operational risk register and support risk assessments, incident management, third-party reviews, remediation tracking, and periodic control reviews.
Provide support with business continuity, disaster recovery, cybersecurity, safeguarding, third-party, and technology-related risk activities where relevant to RPAA obligations.
Monitor outstanding risk and remediation items and follow up with relevant stakeholders.
Assist with Bank of Canada reporting, regulatory requests, examinations, annual reporting, independent reviews, and material business or system changes.
Support regulatory risk reporting to Senior Management and the Board and progressively assume greater responsibility for RPAA-related activities.
